In my first position, I worked with multiple populations (youth, families, aging) as a worker for the state of Rhode Island.

After completing graduate school, I began to specialize in Clinical Social Work with adolescents, adults and families – the population that I felt I could be most helpful with.

I was surprised how my training was able to make a difference and often improve the quality of life for another human being.

Now that I have practiced for 30-plus years, I find that the challenges I faced in the earlier days of my career are still there, but my experience has enabled me to become more effective. I’ve always found satisfaction in being able to improve (or help improve) the lives of others – and in seeing the success as a result of my efforts.
