What motivated you to become a social worker?

I am interested in the mental health field because I have had some personal experience with mental illness and I want to be able to help others get the help that they need just as the people who helped me. I am also interested in military social work because i believe that this is the group of people who get the most neglect when it comes to their needs when they return from service. Mainly, I just want to help people find their way.
