I chose social work because I wanted to help people find purpose and meaning in their lives; help those who have had a loss find hope again; and leave the world a better place than I found it. There is no greater satisfaction than helping and giving back to individuals and the community at large. To know you’ve made a difference and left your mark on the world is the greatest feeling you’ll ever have!

I also love the diversity that a social work degree allows me. During the week, I work as an executive director, private practitioner, radio show host and professor. I have co-authored two books and speak at conferences. It’s very exciting to wear so many hats.
