“My training and experience in social work has opened many doors for me.”
I have always been interested in the field of health care delivery. My career began in a small community rural hospital. Social work became an integral part of the delivery of care. My training and experience in social work has opened many doors for me.
One of my most rewarding moments was when a resident in emergency medicine told me that our practice simulation of a domestic violence case helped him care for a real patient. That’s when all of our training becomes more meaningful.
I would suggest that those who may be interested in the field of social work shadow different people in various practice settings, to see how so many opportunities exist within such a diverse field.
