I was lucky enough to fall into social work in my 20′s working for a very innovative NIMH project (National Institutes of Mental Health) in NYC. I also had great role models – two amazing social workers – doing therapy with schizophrenic adolescents and their families long before family therapy was in vogue.

Now as a Master Certified Coach, I also coach and train other social workers. By incorporating coaching, I’ve really been able to expand my reach.

My social work degree has helped me work in a wide variety of places – private industry, with non-profit leaders and with government executives – and with clients from all walks of life, all ages and many countries. The main reason to choose this profession? Because social workers DO make a difference!
