What I like most about being a social worker is helping other people pick up after a crisis and start over in a new personal direction. The best part of my day is when I facilitate psychosocial support group on managing illness, WRAP and transition planning.These topics strengthen my clients and prepare them for returning back into the community.

It’s rewarding for me when I follow up with my clients and they report that they have attempted to apply what they’ve learned in the community.

My degree has been very helpful in my workplace because it has been a guide for working for my clients. Without this knowledge or experience, I would not be able participate in treatment teams or link clients to services.
